This was my kitchen yesterday. The counters varnished in coffee grounds, the stove a burial ground for food remnants, the sink brimming with dishes that probably had not been washed in a month.
It was my own personal episode of Hoarders.
It took me three hours to do all of the dishes, the stove, the counters. It was intense. I went through all 4 Mr. Clean magic erasers.

This is a picture of the oning (sp?) to my stove. I don’t know the last time it was cleaned but it had a relatively thick layer of sticky. It was so sticky, in fact, that when I took the magic eraser to it, the force needed to remove it quickly disintegrated the eraser. So I took out my trusty Trader Joe’s AP cleaner (plug-$3.49 at TJ’s and smells lovely and fresh) and some steel wool. 5 minutes later- UNSTICKIED!

This is my nice, clean, unfucked kitchen. I had plans to make pork chops with onion confit and an asparagus sauté after cleaning but once I was done, I just microwaved some chili because I wanted to actually enjoy my clean space. Now to just maintain it!
